Salt and Light

Jesus says we are the salt and light of the world. What does that mean and how can we live like it? As we dive into these questions, we will be encouraged that our identity always comes before activity.

The greatest sermon ever recorded was the sermon Jesus gave on a mountainside. The Sermon on the Mount starts and ends with the Gospel. Everything in-between is what it looks like to live a Gospel-infected life. Jesus gives us practical life lessons, not to prove we are Christ followers but because we are Christ followers.

Beatitudes

Most people view the beatitudes as a list of circumstantial blessings. In actuality, the beatitudes is Jesus opening His famous sermon with the Gospel. Rather than a list, this is actually the process of one coming to know Jesus personally.

Father’s Day

While Mother’s Day is usually one of the most attended church services in the year, Father’s Day is one of the least attended services. There are probably many reasons for this, but what a special time it is to celebrate the men in our lives. the Bible has a lot to say about Godly men, and we want you to know this: you are a warrior… and you are worth it!

Revival

What is revival and how can we experience it? Looking at the last chapter in the book of Job, we can see how he truly experienced God in a whole new way, and because of that, he experienced true revival.

Wise Counsel

We are quick to give advice, and in some instances, quick to receive it. While advice and counsel can be a really good thing, we need to always be sure it is WISE. Whether giving or receiving advice, there are some questions we can ask to ensure it really is wise counsel.

Choosing Faith

Job was a man who loved God, loved his family and had lots of money. In an instant, all of his material things and all of his kids were taken away. How did he respond? He chose faith. Choosing faith doesn’t make everything better, but it does point us to Jesus.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a joyous day for some, while for others it is a day of sadness. One thing we all have in common is this: we often feel inadequate and overwhelmed. When we look at some key women in Scripture, we can see how easy it is to fall into traps, and we can also be encouraged to know that we serve a God who loves us and is for us.

Love After the Cross

After Jesus put death to death, He didn’t just ascend into Heaven right away. We actually see that He appeared to some folks at various times. This is important because we can get a glimpse of how His love really changes our lives – from the inside out.

One truth that we can’t get over is this: the Creator of the universe loves us. Because of His love, we can be connected to Him in relationship. Because of His love, we can love others. Because of His love, we can have the boldness and power to live like Jesus. For God so loved… you!

Easter

There are a lot of popular Bible verses, but none more known than John 3:16. As we break down this verse in the context in which it was said, we are reminded of God’s love, His rescue plan for humanity, and how we can be in relationship with Him.
