The Church

The church is made up of those who have chosen to follow Jesus and accept Him as their Savior. The church is meant for several things: to always point people toward Jesus, to be bold in sharing the Gospel, and to be recognized as being with Jesus.

Resurrection

We are all dead in some manner, whether that be in our doubts, disappointments, or delays. Jesus came to this Earth and made the ultimate sacrifice for us, so that we would no longer be dead but have eternal life with Him and our Father in Heaven. The resurrection isn’t just what Jesus did for us. it is who He is.

The Cross

Jesus Christ was sent down as a sacrifice for us and the sins that we have and will commit. When he was nailed onto that cross, he took on the punishment that we all deserve. Because of his willing sacrifice, all of our sins and iniquities have been nailed to the cross and we no longer have to endure the punishment that we so deserve.

Jesus

It’s all about Jesus. It always has been and it always will be.

Power and prophecy

The story of the Bible is full of God’s goodness and faithfulness. He is good and faithful even when we fall short. Sometimes we ask the question: where is God in my time of hardship? He is there the whole time. You just have to take those small steps of obedience to experience the God-sized results that only He can deliver.

The Rescue

Ever since sin entered the world, humanity has been in need of a rescue plan. The theme of rescue is prevalent throughout God’s word. Moses was sent as a rescuer to the Hebrews in Egypt, foreshadowing the ultimate rescue that would be fulfilled when God sent His Son to die for our sins when Jesus was crucified. We become part of the rescue team once we accept the rescue that we are offered through this sacrifice.

The Promise

When we think of promises, it’s easy to think of the ones we’ve seen broken or even broken ourselves. But God’s promises are never broken. He always keep them. It’s up to us to believe Him… and then build our entire life around who He is and what He says.

The Fall

After creation, it all went pretty great… for a little while. Sin entered the world – known as The Fall – and everything was fractured. Ever since that moment, all of creation has been waiting for the Creator, the Author, God, to make all things new.

The Beginning

As we start our new series on The Story, we go back to the Creation and see what happened at the beginning of the world. We also see some characteristics and truths about God that remain as relevant today as they did when the world started.
