Courageous Testimony

When God changes our lives (transferring us from death to life), that’s a story worth sharing. Even when we don’t think our story matters, God uses it to impact people. Expect God to use you and your story to make a difference!

The new year often brings new habits and new goals. While we agree that setting goals is important, the only way to reach a certain goal is to implement the right consistent rhythms. When we look at Scripture, we see that even Jesus had certain rhythms in His life. In this series, we will examine the core values of Impact Church and see how these values are actually habits we should all incorporate into our daily lives.

Abundant Generosity

We care about abundant generosity… a lot! We are convinced that God uses the generosity of ordinary people to stir entire cities and communities. On top of that, God is the perfect example of abundant generosity – He gave us Jesus!

Purposeful Discipleship

There are some words that we classify as “church” words. “Disciple” would probably fit that category. Let’s get really simple: disciple means follower. Being a disciple of Jesus means that we are following Him. The question then becomes, “What does that look like?” Let’s take a look at what it really means to be a disciple and how we can live like Jesus… on purpose.

Meaningful Community

God exists in community, so why would we ever try to exist outside of it? So many times we try to face this life alone, and that’s not at all how we were created. While doing life with others can be messy, there is beauty and value in doing so. Adding this rhythm to your life will surely make a difference as you continue taking steps of faith.

Intimate Worship

Worship is a word used often but understood little. We hear the word but don’t always understand the meaning. Here at Impact, we define worship this way: “all that we are responding to all that He is.” Because of this, worship is a lifestyle, not just a moment in time. There are many different methods all leading to the same thing: honoring God with extreme love and extravagant submission.

Jesus Had Rhythms

When we study the life of Jesus, there is so much we can learn. One of the fascinating things is to see how He had certain rhythms just like everyone else. What set Him apart, besides being JESUS, is that His rhythms kept Him in step with the will of God. Jesus prayed often, he rested when He could, and He set boundaries in His ministry and His person life. When considering rhythms for our own lives, there is no better place to start than with the Savior of the world.
