Mother’s Day is a joyous day for some, while for others it is a day of sadness. One thing we all have in common is this: we often feel inadequate and overwhelmed. When we look at some key women in Scripture, we can see how easy it is to fall into traps, and we can also be encouraged to know that we serve a God who loves us and is for us.
Women played an important role in the early church, and they still do today. What kind of characteristics do we see in those women who walked with Jesus, stayed with Him at the cross, arrived first at the tomb, and ultimately declared the truth and power of His resurrection?
