Qualities to Remember

While Mary gets a lot of attention during the Christmas season, this week we look at Joseph and all the things he had to say. Wait, Scripture records no words at all from Joseph! Even still, there is so much to learn from the way he responds to what had to be one of the most uncomfortable times of his life. The qualities we find in Joseph are worth looking at... and remembering. As the Christmas season rolls around, there is a lot of excitement in the air. Occasionally, though, there are those who just don’t get into the Christmas spirit. Everyone knows a Grinch or a Scrooge, right? Bah Humbug. While this is a well-known phrase, if we’re honest, we all have certain seasons in life where we just feel “bah Humbug!” As we look at the Christmas story, we will see that so many key players could have easily felt the disdain of Jesus, yet they decided to respond differently.
